Video: Convergint and Partners Make History with Largest STEP Up Project for Douglas County School District

Convergint employees volunteer for step up

In 2018, Convergint established its STEP Up for Schools initiative to help strengthen school security. Working with underserved schools in communities around the world, Convergint provides free interior and exterior security system installations, upgrades, and assessments. To date, more than 100 STEP Up projects have been completed by Convergint and its partners.

This year for Social Responsibility Day, Convergint colleagues and partners gathered at Stone Canyon Outdoor EdVentures in Douglas County School District Colorado for the biggest STEP Up project to date—donating over $500,000 worth of labor and equipment. Colleagues in Texas Volunteer at Tarkington Independent School District Through STEP Up Initiative

Convergint Employees Step Up

On June 7th, Convergint offices around the world closed allowing nearly 10,000 colleagues across 220 global locations to have the opportunity to spend the workday giving back to their local communities for Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day.

One of the projects this year was at Tarkington Independent School District in Texas, where dozens of Convergint colleagues volunteered and dedicated their Friday to enhancing the district’s facilities. This project was part of Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools program—an initiative to enhance school safety and address security-related challenges in underserved schools.
